Amy Rose, LMT
Amy Rose, the owner of Sevati, has been a massage therapist since 1997. She has worked in premier spas in the Portland area as well as with acupuncturists, naturopaths, and chiropractors. She uses this wealth of experience to create a truly unique massage, tailored to your individual needs.
Amy firmly believes in the body's innate ability to heal and is humbled to help facilitate this process. She has deepened her knowledge over the years with continuous studies of Anatomy and Physiology, Deep Tissue Techniques for the Neck, Cupping, and Gua Sha.
In her free time, Amy has been working hard on her property with her husband to turn it into a sustainable homestead. Between milking the goats, feeding the chickens, clearing the blackberries, and building new planter beds in the garden she keeps quite busy!
Alexandra graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts where she enjoyed studying Swedish massage, deep tissue, Thai massage, and neuromuscular and trigger point therapies. A biology major, she has always been fascinated and captivated by the human body and feels very fortunate to bring that passion to her massage practice.
Alexandra would describe her style as intuitive, integrative, holistic, and empathetic. She prefers to do more therapeutic work with specific areas of focus, but also appreciates the value of providing a solid, full body relaxation massage. The intention of her work is to call on the nervous system to ease tension in the body, to create a space for the client's needs- both physical and emotional, to focus on how each client wants to feel, as well as working where she feels called on by the body.
An Oregon native, Alexandra loves spending her free time outside. She enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, cycling, kayaking, rock climbing and extensive travel. Currently, Alexandra is looking forward to a trip to Peru in August to celebrate the wedding of dear friends.
Sevati Massage is the culmination of Amy Rose's experiences in the massage industry. After having worked in multiple settings throughout her career she set out to create a beautiful, calm oasis that was centrally located, and dedicated to providing the highest quality services and products.
We are passionate about using all natural and ethically resourced products like Dottera Essential Oils and we make our own massage salve in house! We strive to create a workplace for our employees that honors their values, experience, and voices.
We moved from our humble, small space in the Pearl District to our current home in the heart of downtown next to the library in December of 2016. Here we have been able to expand into our three room suite and offer other women owned small businesses the opportunity to grow their practices and offer aesthetic services that perfectly complement the bodywork that we offer.
